Growing up in Illinois, Dana Stenzel (now in Palm Desert, California) spent her days helping her grandmother tend to her garden—the source of fresh ingredients for homemade jelly. Decades later, during a Summer in Tennessee, Dana learned to make her own jelly from a friend, and a new seed was planted. When her husband bought the wrong ingredients, a pressed-for-time Dana went along with it and came out with her now-signature jalapeño jelly. While she’s perfectly fine with her booth at the farmers market, she thinks she’s ready to take a leap into large-scale production—we think she’s ready, too! Who said greatness can’t grow from a desert?
