No spice is like another, and Savour This Kitchen wants to keep it that way. Siblings Marlene and Michael Bernstein grew up in a family that paid attention to their food. Their grandfather, a butcher, showed them the importance of a person-to-person connection in the marketplace. After Marlene saw that there was a deficiency of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spices on the shelves of their local markets, she took to changing that. She and her brother work from wherever they can find a space, whether it’s at home or at local coffee shops. Though their spice blends may be exotic, they make a seamless entrance into any dish, and are easily incorporated no matter how novice the cook!
